In Humboldt Bay/Wigi, folks from the L-Word, Queer Humboldt, and Redwood Pride have organized an all-ages community picnic. There are picnic tables and room to spread blankets on the grass. Bring your own food, bring food to share, or get food from Pupuseria San Miguel. There will also be some vouchers to get a free pupusa. June 6th, 12-3pm at Da Yas Park, Eureka. Julie@queerhumboldt.org to volunteer.
Also in Eureka, the Friday Night Markets in Old Town will kick off Pride with blessings and music from the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence at the Gazebo on Friday June 5, 5:30-8:30 pm (Eurekasisters.org). And Pride Night on the 26th benefits Queer Humboldt: community groups, Pride decorations, and roaming drag artists.
